Author submissions

We welcome submissions and are always happy to look at new and exciting ideas that we can help transform into books of high quality. To discuss your ideas, get in touch with us by sending an email with as much of the following information (where applicable) as possible:

  • Your name

    • Tell us your first name and surname

    • tell us how we should address you (eg Mr, Mrs, Ms, Dr)

  • Book title

    • give a main title and subtitle if you have one

  • Description

    • tell us what is your book is about

  • Market

    • tell us about your target audience(s)

  • About you

    • tell us something concise and relevant about you

    • if you have a website please let us know how to find it

  • Word count

    • this will give us a general sense of how large your book is

    • if you don’t know please provide an estimate

  • Illustrations

    • tell us how many images, maps and tables you would like to include in your book

    • if you know who owns the copyright for the illustrations you have selected (eg artist, private collection, institutional collection, unknown), please provide details

    • tell us how many of the illustrations are in colour and black & white

  • Previous titles

    • for published authors, tell us up to five of your most successful books that you have written

Consultancy

Alongside our publication programme we

  • deliver illustrated talks in a variety of subjects

  • curate exhibitions 

  • provide consultancy services to a wide range of individuals and organisations, including film studios, television production companies, museums, auction houses, researchers, authors, academics and art collectors
